My only collegue

So you’re gonna work from home, and the only fear you have is to feel alone. I know it, don’t hide it.

We are human beings and we’re not made to live alone, so please breathe. Like the majority of fishes, we need a band to feel strong and useful. I have THE solution. I started by having a cat when I was a journalist trying to write positive articles from the projects in France. It was hard cause my loneliness was a real burden. The problem is cats are oftenly solitary. So I felt lonelier with that female cat named Bella. And after a couple of months, her way to tell me fuck your negativity was to be agressive. I had to separate from her. Bye bye bella, I’m sorry but I needed more than a selfish girl.

Years later, after years of having fun of old people talking to their dogs in the streets, I decided to get one. And that’s when my home office turned out to be a sexy place I love to join. Snap is now 3 years-old, it’s a male jack russel full of energy. Snap is my collegue and my friend. Always happy to start a new day, always down to go out, and always there when I feel bad. Is it sad ? I don’t think so. Dogs are really good friends. I’m not saying I don’t like humans, but his patience and dedication to me is amazing. He’s a member of my family, and he’s worth more than lots of my former open-space collaborators.

Another point is Snap is my link to nature. Something I never had before. One of my favorite moment now is to take him to the forest, or to run with him. It’s good for the mind, for the brain. And that’s one of the only moment when I quit my iPhone notifications.

I love you Snap.
